Description

Lance Allen was born and raised in Kentucky and took interest in the guitar at 11 years old. Being surrounded by music, he began learning songs that his dad could teach him and before long the guitar became his primary interest.

After a lot of practicing and playing, he began to pick the guitar with his fingers and discover the possibilities of fingerstyle guitar. He learned songs by Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, Phil Keaggy, and other great fingerstyle guitarists. Soon, writing his own compositions became a daily part of his life.

At only 26 years old and with a new acoustic guitar album, Lance continues his music journey into the future. He teaches guitar full-time and has been featured in Fingerstyle Guitar magazine as well as Nashville Public Television.

You’ll love the music that he is creating.

Some of the musical influences on this CD are Tommy Emmanuel, Marcel Dadi, Stephen Bennett, and lots of other guitarists.

Sometimes in Life – A tune written instantly in an alternate tuning. Featured in issue 62 of Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine.

Jour De Ficilles – “Play with the Fingers” Inspired by Marcel Dadi’s beautiful song “Je Te Veux”

Mr. Fingers – Is a collaboration of Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, and Tommy Emmanuel all in one. Chet was called Mr. Guitar and this song represents the fingerpicking style they played.

Just Thoughts – A song written for Lance’s wife Twila while in a late studio session. Although this is an instrumental song, the up and coming country star, Chris Young, wrote beautiful lyrics to it.

Keith’s tune – A fun swinging tune written for friend in England. Keith asked Lance to write a song for him and in a very short time this was his creation.
