Description

Rare Australian Import!

Like his younger brother Tommy, Phil is one the finest guitarists to emerge from Down Under. Phil’s musical roots stem from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and his style has largely been defined by the classic guitar sounds of this era. His preference is for the “instrumental tunes that defined the sound of the electric guitar when it was a new instrument.”

Note: Kakadu is a National Park of nearly 8,000 square miles in the Northern Territory of Australia, southeast of Darwin.

The area boasts the longest continuous surviving human culture in the world. Aborigines have been living in this region for at least 40,000 years. The descendants of these First Australians still live in Kakadu today. Kakadu and the Arnhem Land Escarpment contain one of the longest continuous records of rock art in the world, with around 5,000 galleries of Aboriginal paintings. In recognition of its unique attributes, Kakadu has been accorded double World Heritage status by the United Nations on the basis of both its natural and cultural attributes.”  –www.pbs.org
