Brother and famed international guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel, says, “I am excited about the release of my brother’s album. I think Thunderbird Legacy is Phil’s best work and, I know his fans, and guitar fans, are going to love it too!”
In 2017, Phil Emmanuel went into the picturesque Diamond Valley Studios in Queensland, with his band, guest guitarist Jacob Funnell and producer/musician Parris Macleod. The eclectic session started with some pre production and discussing Phil’s plans for the upcoming album. These included his favourite tunes, cinema themes, and new original songs. The results just amazing, and Thunderbird Legacy, was finally mastered by Don Bartley at Benchmark mastering the day before Phil sadly passed away in May 2018. Phil was excited about the recording and had been planning future productions prior to his untimely parting. On Wednesday 24 April, Thunderbird Legacy will be officially released through MGM and will be available from all good record stores and your go to digital platforms.
